Brachiosaurus
<pictures coming>
Long column like front legs have given this Sauropod it name,
Brachiosaurus means Arm Lizard. These legs have also given
the Brachiosaurus the steep back. This tall sauropod was built
like a crane. With a long neck it could lift of lower the head
to eat leafs from the trees, or it could eat from the ground.
Fossils of this giant herbivore have been found in the mountains
of Northern America, Southern Europe and east Africa, probably
from late Jura. Similar Sauropods have been assumed to include
Bothrispondylus, Lapparentosaurus, Pelorosaurus and Pleurocoelus.
But some of these brachiosaurids looks to be closer related
to Brachiosaurus than others. Several of the Sauropods are
only known from a few bones, so it is dificult to decide wether
they are related or not.
