Compsognathus

<pictures coming>

Compsonathus lived on the hot desert islands that is called Germany and France today, and where probably the largest carnivores there (Small islands rarely have enough food to larger predators). The small dinosaurs elegant body with long neck, balancing tale and birdlooking legs may have provides swift movement. It would capture and eat lizards like Bavarisaurus amongst the small bushes, and it may even have hunted the primitive bird Archaeopteryx. Compsognathus may also have been feeding on carrion from dead horseshoe crabs and other creatures stranded from sea.

Today only three skeletons have been found of this small predator, the largest found was the size of a turkey, smalles as large as a chicken. Compsognathus had only two fingers on each hand, unlike most other who had three fingers.

Cpmspognathus got its name from the fine bones in the long, low scull. Its very light built scull was made almost entirely of long bones with lage openings inbetween. The largest openings was the Orbita, the eyesocket. The Nares, the nostrils, where two elliptic close to the narrow nosetip. Under these openings the bones made bridges who combined togehter to the upper jaw. The lower jaw fas also flat, so flat that it almost looks fragile. Small sharp teeth were placed with good space inbetween both in upper and lower jaw.
