Troodon

Troodon got its name after the long, hoocked teeth, and the name means Wounding Tooth. It would grow to be about 2 meters long, just a little bit smaller than human size. It was a predator with a very large heart and very long legs, and they believe it was quite fast. It lived in the vestern parts of North- America around 70 million years ago. Like Velociraptor, the Troodon was built after the long slim design we know from birds today, and it also had the spring knife like claw on the feet, wich it held clear from the ground when it was walking. But unlike Velociraptor the Troodon's claw was too small to catch larger prey. Troodon may have been able to catch the youngsters from larger herbivores, but tye main prey was to be birds, lizards, snakes and small mammals.

Troodon's brain was rather large compared to the body, so it is believed that it was rather smart to be a Dinosaur. The eyes is places so it could focus on objects directly in front of it. That would help Troodon decide wether the prey was within range or not. They mey very well have been hunting during early nighttime, for the sice of the eyes and its surroundings indicate that it would have a sharp sight in bad light.
